2. Products, prices and orders
Each product page sets out the main characteristics, availability and price. All prices are final and include VAT. The English-language shop currently offers collection from PUBerta only.
You place an order after checking your basket, entering the required details and agreeing to these Terms and Conditions. Your order is an offer to enter into a contract. The contract is formed only when we expressly confirm availability and accept the order. We will contact you by email or phone.
3. Payment and collection
You may pay online through Besteron, by bank transfer using the details we send after accepting the order, or on collection where available. For online payment, you will be taken to Besteron’s secure payment page. We treat the order as paid only after the payment provider confirms it. Goods are collected from PUBerta, Sládkovičova 636, Považská Bystrica. We will confirm the collection time together with availability. Risk passes to the consumer when the goods are handed over.
4. Alcohol is for over-18s only
We do not sell or hand over alcoholic drinks to anyone under 18. You confirm your age when entering the shop and again when ordering alcohol. We may ask for proof of age on collection. If we cannot verify your age, we will not hand over the alcohol.
5. Right to withdraw
As a consumer, you may withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving the goods. Send a clear statement before the deadline to servis@bertabier.skor by post to our registered office. Include your name, contact details, order number, the goods concerned and the date you received them.
Return or hand over the goods no later than 14 days after withdrawing. The consumer bears the direct cost of return. We will refund payments no later than 14 days after receiving the withdrawal notice, using the same payment method unless agreed otherwise. We may withhold the refund until we receive the goods or proof that they have been sent. The consumer is liable only for loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods.
Statutory exceptions apply, including goods made to your specification, goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly, and sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed.
6. Defects and complaints
Goods must conform to the contract and be free from defects when handed over. Consumers may exercise their statutory rights in relation to defects, normally within two years of delivery. Send a complaint by email or post, including the order number, a description of the defect and the remedy you are seeking. We will deal with it within the period and in the manner required by applicable law, and confirm it in writing.
7. Personal data
We process data to take steps before entering into a contract, fulfil the contract and meet our legal obligations. See our Privacy Notice for details.
8. Complaints and alternative dispute resolution
Please contact us first at servis@bertabier.sk. If we reject your request for redress or you are dissatisfied with the outcome, you may apply to a competent alternative dispute resolution body, in particular the Slovak Trade Inspection. More information is available at soi.sk.
9. Final provisions
The contract is governed by the law of the Slovak Republic. This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights under the law of the country in which the consumer usually lives. These Terms and Conditions are published in a form that can be saved. The version accepted when the order was placed applies to that order.
